Take Care of Your Body Not Only Your Mind
During our awakening process we tend to focus on our mind and
our spiritual practices but we have to pay attention to our bodies as well.
In order to have a healthy body we need a healthy mind but this
also true the other way hence a healthy mind requires a healthy body.
A dedicated lifestyle including our diet and exercises helps us to feel better in a well maintained body and also makes it easier to endure the changes as we are going through the different stages of our spiritual awakening.
Before the accelerated part of my spiritual awakening started back there in the early 2020 I had gone through a transformation related to my body. I have been into sports since childhood and later in my adulthood - beside other things - this meant going to the gym on the frequent basis.
In the late 2019 I decided to gain more muscles and within two months or so I had accomplished this goal. It was like a 10lbs gain of muscle and some fat.
It didn’t take too long when I started feeling uncomfortable
in my body so eventually I decided to get rid of that extra mass.
For some reason it felt so easy and good working on that
goal. I felt motivated and focusing mainly on cardio and proper food intake it
didn’t take much longer than a month of intensive - every day - training to end
up losing around 30lbs.
It was a completely different experience living in this new body but it felt surprisingly good.
Of course the ego was complaining about those smaller muscles and if it did happen in an earlier stage of my life I could have totally agreed with the ego but at this time being smaller felt much better than being bigger prior that.
Getting rid of that extra mass did have a symbolical meaning
too but at that time I didn’t understand what it was.
I kept going to the
gym and maintained this new body but because of the obvious reasons after March
2020 I needed to make adjustments in my exercise routine.
I started to work out
at home and part of that I went for a run every each morning.
I also started
focusing on meditation, self-healing, shadow work and other spiritual practices.
It
was a complete work on my Mind, Body and Spirit complex.
After a while I began noticing changes and improvements in my spiritual health and just like what had happened to my body before, happened to my soul.
The old and heavy load
of false concepts of the self, childhood traumas and energy blockages started
shedding and I felt lighter and better.
It let me to realise
that losing the unnecessary weight of the body was some kind of a premonition
for what was about to happen to the soul too.
Eventually a complete
change had taken place on every each level, on the level of the Mind, the Body
and the Spirit.
I am still doing these spiritual practices and physical exercises with joy and excitement day after day.
What I already know that missing on the physical exercise doesn’t have a good effect on me.
I use to go to the gym
at various times of the day but what I always needed to do that was, and still
is, a morning exercise. Even at times when it is just a short one it is essential
to feel good throughout the day.
My morning exercise is
not even close to the Chinese Thai Chi or let’s say doing Yoga but serves the
same purpose. (It is basically a warm up, stretching and a short body weight workout)
Whether I wake up
tired or not in a happy mood my exercise starts moving the energy in my body and
it doesn’t take long to feel good, happy and full of energy.
In addition to that as a bonus very often good ideas and intuitions pop into my mind during that morning exercise.
Keeping them in a
healthy state is our responsibility and doing it so always being reflected back
to us by a better life experience.
